About

Chris and I currently rent a cottage in the Santa Cruz Mountains just above Los Gatos.  It’s called "Pine Cottage" by the owners. We’ve lived there since 1999 and done lots of fixing up there, but now we’re building a house of our own just north of Half Moon Bay.  Chris and I have designed the house together, and Chris has done much of the work himself, including the house plans.  "Villa Boswell" comes from the title Chris gave to the house plans, after seeing that many home designers provide a title to their house plan on the cover sheet.

This blog is an opportunity for me to document all the stuff we’ve done together and individually: gardening, pond building, and home building.
